on’t get caught off guard! Ohio’s best independent music festival has moved its exciting mix of music and art once again and is quickly approaching! This year Nelsonville Music Festival will take place on the three longest days of the year, so you will have plenty of daylight to enjoy
the revelries.
NMF returns to the Snow Fork Event Center in southeastern Ohio on Thursday, June 20th through Sunday, June 22nd. This year’s headliners include Charlie Crockett, Waxahatchee, and Taj Mahal with featured performances by MJ Lenderman, Watchhouse (formerly Mandoline Orange), The War and Treaty, Ocie Elliot, Bonnie Prince Billy, Dehd, Black Lips, and BALTHVS. Over 30 additional national, regional, and local acts fill out the lineup with an exciting mix of indie, alternative, world-music, Americana and roots, country, folk, blues, rhythm & blues, and rock & roll performances.
It doesn’t stop with just great music – NMF spotlights local artisan & retail vendors in their Vendor Village offering unique art pieces and other hand crafted wares. There are plenty of affordable local and regional food vendors, onsite primitive and RV camping, and opportunities to make memories with both family and friends.
Founded in 2005, the Nelsonville Music Festival is an annual event put on by Stuart’s Opera House as the principal fundraiser for the preservation and upkeep of the historic building in the heart of Nelsonville – a non-profit theater venue first opened in 1879 which continues to be used to this day for musical events, films, educational programs, and other events.
All festival proceeds benefit arts education in Southeastern Ohio, meaning every ticket purchased helps to enrich the lives of children with limited access to educational resources.
