ooking for a different kind of music festival? A festival born out of the love of music and not
out of the business of it?
Nelsonville Music Festival soon returns to the Snow Fork Event Center in southeastern Ohio with over 50 musical performances running Friday, July 21st through Sunday, July 23rd. 2023 headliners include Kurt Vile & The Violators, Alex G, and Big Thief with featured performances by Sierra Ferrell, Margo Price, Alvvays, Shannon & The Clams, Lucinda Williams, Wednesday, and the legendary Michael Hurley. Additional national, regional, and local acts include an eclectic mix of indie, alternative, world-music, Americana and roots, country, folk, and rock & roll.
In additional to great music, last year NMF hosted 27 artisan & retail vendors in their Vendor Village – a number that will surely grow in 2023 when finally announced – offering unique art pieces and other hand crafted wares. There are also plenty of reasonably priced local and regional food vendors, onsite primitive and RV camping, and opportunities to make memories with both family and friends. No matter your musical taste, you will be sure to discover new music that you will carry home with you after the festival is over.
NMF on The Hot Mic Podcast
Founded in 2005, the Nelsonville Music Festival is an annual event put on by Stuart’s Opera House as the principal fundraiser for the preservation and upkeep of the historic building in the heart of Nelsonville – a non-profit theater venue first opened in 1879 which continues to be used to this day for musical events, films, educational programs, and other events.
“All festival proceeds benefit arts education in Southeastern Ohio, meaning every ticket purchased helps to enrich the lives of children with limited access to educational resources.”
