Andy Bell / Savannah Pope – Wilbur Theater, Boston, MA

Few voices in pop are as instantly recognizable as Andy Bell’s, and from the first note of his Ten Crowns tour stop at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, that iconic tone transported the room back to the era when Erasure ruled radio and dance floors. Bell delivered a seamless blend of beloved hits and new material, giving longtime fans nostalgia while introducing a club-driven, modern sonic chapter.

The crowd responded in kind — on their feet, singing, dancing, arms waving, and celebrating the music that shaped decades of nightlife and pop culture. New songs from Ten Crowns felt current and confident, reinforcing Bell’s evolution rather than resting on legacy. His generosity as a performer shone when he stepped aside to spotlight backup vocalist Chelsea King and guitarist Jerry Fuentes for a standout duet, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the show.

The band was rounded out by an exceptional lineup of musicians, including powerhouse drummer Sarah Tomek and DJ/keyboardist/producer/Grammy winner Dave Audé, whose performances elevated the night’s musical experience.

Opening act Savannah Pope set the tone with a commanding performance, showcasing powerhouse vocals and a theatrical edge that evoked the early drama of Lady Gaga. A rising artist worth watching. She was joined by the dynamic guitarist Adam Gimenez.
By the time the final notes faded, the room left energized and satisfied — reminded that Andy Bell’s voice remains as captivating, and timeless as ever. A wonderful night for fans old and new.
