Nelsonville Music Festival 2026 Preview & Podcasts
elsonville Music Festival 2026 is almost upon us! This year promises to not only be another foray into a carefully curated musical lineup, unique artisans, local food and drink, and the best festival patronage around, but a celebration of their benchmark 20th festival!
The 2026 festival brings changes, as the schedule shifts from its traditional slot to a Thursday-through-Saturday format—be sure not to show up a day late to the premier musical event of Southeastern Ohio. NMF returns to the Snow Fork Event Center Thursday, June 18th through Saturday, June 20th. This year’s 20th annual celebration features an incredible lineup including Geese, Wednesday, Big Freedia, Gillian Welch, David Rawlings, Mavis Staples, and The Marcus King Band. They are joined by featured performances from Mon Rovîa, Thee Sinseers, The Altons, S.G. Goodman, Fruit Bats, Hannah Cohen, Cat Clyde, Wine Lips, The Mystery Lights, Mikaela Davis, and BERTHA: Grateful Drag. Over 40 national, regional, and local acts fill out the schedule with an exciting mix of indie, alternative, soul, bluegrass, Americana, country, folk, hip-hop, and rock & roll performances across multiple stages—including the secluded Sycamore Sessions stage nestled in the woods.
It doesn’t stop with just great music. NMF spotlights local independent artisan and retail vendors offering unique handmade art, clothing, and jewelry. There are plenty of local and regional food trucks, craft beer gardens, onsite primitive and RV camping (including a dedicated quiet/family camping section), and a vibrant Kids Area filled with weekend workshops, activities, and a puppet parade. NMF also continues its strict commitment to sustainability, operating as a Zero Waste event that successfully diverts over 90% of waste from landfills.
Founded in 2005, the Nelsonville Music Festival is a production and major annual fundraiser for Stuart’s Opera House, a historic non-profit theater venue in Nelsonville.
“100% of the festival’s proceeds fund year-round, tuition-free Arts Education programs for children and community members in Southeast Ohio, meaning every ticket purchased helps enrich the lives of youth with limited access to educational resources.”
